    Description

Acrylic sheets (PMMA) are a widely used material whose applications are so numerous that it is neither possible nor necessary to list them. Transparent acrylic sheets have very good optical properties and high light transmission (up to about 92%), which is why it is often used as a substitute for ordinary flat glass. Unlike glass, it is more resistant to bending and impact material, much easier to machine and easy to glue, but acrylic sheets have one major drawback – they are soft and therefore their surface can be easily scratched.

When making various acrylic details, it is very important that the edges are perfectly polished. Their polishing can be done on machines with a rotating head with diamond blades, with a gas burner or by hand with polishing pastes and kits.

Mouse has all possible machines and consumables for polishing and other processing of all sizes and thicknesses of acrylic sheets.

These sheets are suitable for making polished chamfers or other bevels on the edges.

Restoring scratched and blurred acrylic sheets and details is a difficult task, but with the help of special polishing pastes and a lot of manual labor the surface can be sanded and restored. At temperatures above 40 ° С the surface acquires a milky white color and loses its transparency irreversibly.

Mouse is one of the few companies in Europe that produces alone extruded sheets of acrylic (PMMA) with dimensions up to 4050×2050 mm and has all the technologies for their subsequent processing – such as molding, screen or digital printing, router or laser cutting, bending, gluing, polishing and assembly.
