Description
Screen printing is one of the oldest printing technologies in the world known to mankind as a method of image transfer.
This process allows you to print detailed images on smooth or partially embossed surfaces of various materials such as plastic, foil, paper, glass, metal, ceramics, textiles, souvenirs, leather, hats, umbrellas, faces of illuminated advertisements, placing inscriptions on scales and plates of household appliances, inscription of company work clothes, spectacular inscriptions on products from the perfume and alcohol industry, printed circuit boards in electronics are also made by screen printing and what not!
Screen printing is very popular today, despite the availability of modern and high-quality digital printing technologies, because images can be printed with special inks – such as fluorescent, thermal or embossed inks, which makes the final look of the products much more attractive.
The screen printing process includes three main elements: the screen frame that carries the image, the ink and the squeegee with which it is printed.
The sieve is made of sieve fabric (metal or polyester mesh), which is stretched and glued on a metal or wooden frame. An emulsion is applied to the sieve, then a template with one color of the image is placed in front of it, which will be printed and a photo-chemical process of exposure follows.
Ink – there are different types of inks, according to the material on which they will be printed – one and two components, according to the drying technology – solvent inks for air drying and UV inks, which harden when baked with UV light.
The ink is applied to the surface of the sieve. The ink is then pressed through the fine mesh using a squeegee, which passes the ink through the open areas of the sieve to pass and print on the respective material.
Mouse-Print has 5 different machines of the Italian company ARGON for screen printing on boards, which are equipped with different dryers UV, IR or hot air, which allow us to use different printing inks – solvent, UV, thermal and embossed inks, glitter and others. to achieve a different visual effect.
The printing formats of our machines are the following:
